Welcome to the website www.istemol.tj which is a non-commercial information resource of the Consumer Union of Tajikistan. This resource was developed in the framework of the project “Promoting socio-economic rights of consumers by monitoring electricity services and supporting consumer participation in electricity sector reform”, which is supported by the small grants Program of the Commission on democracy by the US Embassy in Tajikistan.

Purpose of creation

The Сonsumers Union of Tajikistan was the сreator of two specialized websites on consumer protection (barknest.tj and obinushoki.tj). These were two information resources where consumers and other interested parties could get comprehensive information about the rights and obligations of consumers, suppliers of drinking water and electricity services. Also, you could get an online consultation on the sites, share your experience, knowledge and get acquainted with the news of both areas. Along with this, consumers could get information about the progress of electricity supply in the country in various forms.

However, since these resources are outdated, their pages were loaded for a long time and began to produce errors. In this regard, the Consumers Union of Tajikistan team for the convenience of consumers integrated these sites into one resource, which is improved and expanded in terms of obtaining information, news, access to legislation and other useful materials in the field of consumer protection. Now consumers can get comprehensive information, consult and leave their complaints on all types of goods, works and services by visiting this site.

For this purpose, this site is divided into different sectors of consumer protection, such as:
